Green Planet Zone

Green Planet Zone at Innocent Hearts, Loharan is more than a campus initiative—it’s a living, breathing ecosystem designed to nurture sustainability and harmony with nature. This self-sustaining zone celebrates biodiversity through flourishing sections of rose plantation, refreshing lemongrass patches, and tranquil bamboo groves. Birds and animals thrive here in their natural surroundings, creating a serene environment that mirrors the beauty of untouched habitats.

Beyond conservation, the zone fosters environmental education, composting practices, and vocational learning, inspiring students to become stewards of the planet. The Photography Club finds endless opportunities to capture these moments, framing nature’s essence through the lens and preserving its story for generations.

Alignment with DISHA – an Initiative

The Green Planet Zone, closely aligned with DISHA—the group’s movement under Bowry Memorial Educational & Medical Trust, is dedicated to conserving nature and reducing carbon footprints. Through this dedicated zone, DISHA’s vision comes alive:

  • Carbon Reduction: Composting bio and wet waste into nutrient-rich manure for soil enrichment.
  • Conservation: Protecting natural habitats for birds and animals within the campus.
  • Education: Inspiring students to adopt eco-friendly practices and vocational skills.
  • Countryside Experience: A dedicated area reflects the charm of rural landscapes, reminding us of the harmony between people and nature.

These concerns and the efforts align in-line with the UN’s SDGs – 4 & 13 on enhancing Quality Education & Climate Action respectively.
