Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust (www.ihgi.in) is doing yeoman’s work by providing educational and medical facilities to the needy and the deserving people. The trust applied the available knowledge for the betterment of our society and environment.
The innovative minds don’t lie idle but they keep on working to add new to the existing. Established and registered in 1997 under the Societies Act , the trust has to its credit a bagful of achievements as benchmarks. The trustees, being from the fields of Academics, Medicine and other renowned profession of the society, think only for the welfare of the humankind. Working on these lines, the trust can today truthfully boast off of its team’s job. The milestones yet reached are:
Benchmarks In History
1984 : When the dream of a high quality English medium school, in the name of Innocent Hearts School, came to reality in the shape of a play-way, setup at the trust’s registered office at 72, Shaheed Udham Singh Nagar. At that time, only the parents of four students trusted our capability and sincerity.
1992 : The school shifted to rented accommodation at Link Road .
1997 : The school moved to its own premises at Green Model Town, where it added all the amenities and features required for the ultimate growth of its students.
2004 : The doors of a new state-of-the-art junior wing were opened to accommodate the classes from Pre-Primary to grade IV . Designed by keeping in mind the needs and comforts of the tender-young learners, the building also possesses an Open theatre for the young artists to express their talents & a Splash pool to beat the heat of the summers. Presently, it is upgraded up to class VI.
2005 : The trust planned to expand its functions for the mankind to come-up with more of its projects at Innocent Hearts Fields, Loharan Nakodar Road, Jalandhar, where the trust owns over 29 acres of land. To start with, the trust inaugurated a free dispensary (at no-profit-no-loss basis) to provide affordable medical facilities to the society.
2007 : For raising the socio-economic status of the people of the society, education is a must. But for providing good education, good teachers as navigators are required. To benefit the society further, the thinkers associated with the trust brought to reality an idea of providing quality teachers to architect the future of the society. For the purpose, Innocent Hearts College of Education was started at Green Model Town. Innocent Hearts College of Education endeavoured to give 100 quality teachers to the society, every year. In its very first year of inception, besides holding merit positions in G.N.D.U., Amritsar, the college students made a landmark by grabbing the gold medal by taking 1st position. Consecutively 2nd year, the college created history by positioning 15 students (out of 100) in the 53-member merit list issued by the university. The same, too, has continued in the following years, with more of the records to be broken & written in the years to come!
To meet the over-whelming (or pending) demand of the parents to get their child admitted to Innocent Hearts School, the management of the school came-up with the project of starting a Kindergarten Wing at Innocent Hearts Fields, Nakodar Road, Loharan, initially with Nursery, L.K.G. & U.K.G., and has now grown to the secondary level and turning into Sr. Sec. level (C.B.S.E. Affiliated).
2008 : With the celebrations in the form of Innocent Hearts Carnival “Euphoria”, the Kindergarten Wing at Loharan, was overtly inaugurated at the same parent-pocket-friendly fee structure of Innocent Hearts, in the serene, pollution-free environment, besides continuing to give quality education, this new branch of the school is providing state-of-the-art, ultramodern facilities to the students. A few to name are Splash Pool, vast playgrounds, multimedia based teaching – learning in smart classrooms and many more.
2009 : The trust, managing the school & college of education, thinking on the lines to make its student-members self-sufficient and capable to lead a respectable and comfortable life in today’s hard-to-survive world , ventured into the field of higher education in the name of Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions at Nakodar Road, Loharan.
2010 : Considering the demands of the youth opting for corporate jobs and placements in MNCs, the importance of MBA and other business administrative courses have risen. To give recognition to its students, every top-class business school (B-school) wants to be in the list of ISO9001:2008 Quality Certified Management Aptitude Test(MAT) conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA). Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions can genuinely boast of its quality as it is one of the participating B-Schools of India in MAT since 2010.
2011 : As the world is marching ahead with the jobs in the Corporate section, the team at Innocent Hearts has come out with the concept of Vocational Courses which will be making the youth compatible to variety of jobs. One such venture is in the field of Hotel Management. Starting from the session 2011-12, the trust has added another feather in its cap by launching its another IKGPTU affiliated institute at Loharan, in the name of Innocent Hearts Institute of Hotel Management, offering B. Sc. (Hotel Management). On the occasion of carnival “Euphoria”, Dr. W. R. Bowry Memorial stadium at Loharan was inaugurated by Hon’ble Sh. R. J. Khanderao, Regional Officer, CBSE, Panchkula, to provide more of the opportunities to the children in the field of sports, which form an integral part of curriculum.
2012 : Entering deeper into the graduation courses, IHGI has added B. Com. (Prof.), affiliated to IKGPTU, to its cap.
2014 : To help the deserted elderly and serve them by taking care of their health and well-being in their golden phase of life, the Trust has extended its vision to open an Old age home – Anand Ashram and its foundation stone was laid . The construction of its building is at full swing.
2015 : Another feather was added to the cap of Innocent Hearts family with the Grand Opening of its another school at Cantt.- Jandiala Road. The school has INNOKIDS- The Pre-Primary and Innocent Hearts School with classes from I to VIII . The classes shall be gradually added year-by-year.
2016 : S.Satnam Singh Memorial Innocent Hearts Multispeciality Hospital became a part of family of BMEMT. In the loving memory of our Founder Director Late Smt. Kamlesh Bowry, Amphi Theatre was introduced at IHGI.
2018 : Royal World International School also becomes a part of IHGI.
2019 : Innocent Hearts Group initiated e-portals for fees & online registration for admission.
2020 : The trust inaugurated the grand opening of its new branch of school at Kapurthala Road, Jalandhar with classes from Nursery to 5th.
2021 : As a result of immense hard work and dedication of the trust, it’s school at Kapurthala Branch received an incredible response from the students thereby which it was grown to middle level (upto class 7th).
Project in Making: The Trust is working on the lines to help & serve the society further and shall be coming-up with a Blood Bank room.
